Primary Colours at the Copic Class

Morning all in the land of blog
Apologise for the delay in posting "ladies of Grimsby Crafts"
Had a fabulous day on Sunday with some wonderful ladies in the Copic Class.
I am taking a short break from classes but hope it won't be too long before I am back :) I will miss you all so much.  I got some great tips on Sunday and cannot wait to try them out.

Here is the card that the ladies made in class, it was created as part of a request and I hope that it fitted the bill, so to speak
I went for a birthday card, and some great primary colours and loved the finished look.
The base layer and contrast is a true red, with some lovely diamond pattern blue papers and some stripy yellow papers all off the shelves in the Shop.
The pearls have been coloured with copics B97 and the ribbon which has been used to make a double bow is also from the shop.

Here is the close up image coloured in copics and Atyou glitter pens

Happy New Year To You all

Welcome to the New Year all of you

Hope you had a lovely Xmas, received lots of new stash, or lots of crafting money, like me :)

I have been into the shop this morning, and as you know just cannot help myself, there are some fabulous die cuts and stamps and much more, all discounted as they are Christmas.

Trying to be organised I make a Christmas card every week, so loving the discounts - but hurry as don't think they will be around long, if I have anything to do with it :)

Any way off to play with my  new purchases but before I do, just wanted to let you know that I will be in the shop on
Saturday 5th January
10 am onwards,
demonstrating.
What some people will do to get extra crafting time.

Do hope you will pop in to see me, give me a chance to catch up with you all and find out what you all got for Xmas.

Hugs

Easel Calendar Copic Card Class

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Had a wonderful afternoon yesterday running the class, it was the final class of 2012, it was lovely to see our wonderful regulars and have a catch up.

The ladies this week, played on my bow maker, and I showed them how to create the double bow, and they all created some stunner's. Can see the ribbon selling out fast in the shop. When I left some of the green was left but quite a lot of the black and silver, although the black and silver would look great on any card not just a Christmas one.

I was thrilled some of you managed to find some Atyou's, you are just so going to be addicted :)

So here is the card we all created

Copic Class

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Yesterday I had a wonderful time running my copic class with 8 fabulously talented ladies. I always love the banter during the class and the time to show others some new techniques with the copic pens. It was lovely to meet two new ladies, hope to see you again soon.

The card we made this time around was quite simple to allow time for the ladies to play with this new technique for them.

So here is the card they followed

This is a Wedding Card

The base layer is black card with papers from the Bloomsbury collection.  The MS heart punch has been used along with the grand nestie circle and scallop and some tiny pearls.  The sentiment on the front is by Wild Rose Studio as is the one inside.  They are part of the Wedding Circles pack and can be found here if not in the shop.

Here is a close up of the image, coloured in copics and a little Atyou Spica for the confetti.
The technique learnt was spot colouring, where other than the smaller elements of the image the actual bears were coloured purely with dots, quite time consuming but creating a really lovely furry texture look to them.

All the supplies for this card can be purchased in the shop except the Atyou pens.

The next class is

Saturday 20th October at 3.30pm

Remember to pay for your spot when booking it

Look out in the shop as the copic pens have been ordered as have the images for the next class.
The card for the next class is on display in the shop.

Thank you for you suggestion on a blog class and I will speak to Lynn to see if I can arrange this for you all.

enjoy the rest of your day

Hi Ladies

what a lovely afternoon we have had, and the heat I believe came from the speed you were all working, so pleased you all got completed on time, with some gorgeous finished creations.

So here is the card we made in class (in the correct colours for you)

It is a generic card, which can be used for many occasions. There are several more images in this range in the shop.

don't forget you could use glossy accents on the finished coloured image too.

Additional information promised - click on the links :)
Copic Refills £6.15
Rey Text and Graphic Paper (this is an on line order and delivered to you)

Basic skin colours are E11 for under the hair line and to create the facial features.  E00 for the creation of the face, remember to leave lighter areas for nose, cheeks and forehead. E000 for the overall blending

Here is the colour wheel, which will assist you in choosing your first purchases of copics. Try to buy three in a run either around the wheel or from the outer edge to the inner edge. Remember the colour of the lids will not help you in selecting your pens.

and here is the colour chart - remember this needs to be printed out onto the same paper you are using for your images on your cards, otherwise the colours will change. This will help you to avoid purchasing doubles too.
The next class is on the 18th August @ 3.30pm through till 6pm
Please remember that you reserve a space on the class you need to pay on placing your name on the list, we cannot guarantee a space if you have not paid, thank you

As always if you have any questions on your copics please feel free to contact me here, but do hop over and join me on my own blog here

Look forward to seeing you all in the next class

Happy colouring
