Celebrate The Jubilee

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today I get to show you a card that I was going to use for a class, however due to the amount of colouring and size of colouring space decided this was not really the best card and image to use for that, so it is now on display in the shop.

So here it is
I made a birthday card, using the matching papers for this image available in the shop.

The base layer is  a royal blue, I used the grand nestie smaller circle to sit the image on and used the matching scallop circle to frame him. The bunting is cut from one of the pages in the paper pad.

here is a close up of the image coloured in copics with some Atyou Glitter pens to the fine line areas

Now I have a little news to share with you, I have a new web cam, this means that I will be colouring up my images for the card classes whilst being video'd.  This will mean that after the class, you can if you want, watch the video over and over and over again :)

thank you for a lovely class yesterday, really enjoyed working with you all, and it was great to meet some new ladies too.

So here is the card we made in class
It is a birthday card for a friend. Although the class had two options of sentiment and obviously some chose to use their own sentiments as well.

Additional information promised
Copic Refills £6.15
Rey Text and Graphic Paper (this is an on line order and delivered to you)

Basic skin colours are E11 for under the hair line and to create the facial features.  E00 for the creation of the face, remember to leave lighter areas for nose, cheeks and forehead. E000 for the overall blending

BG colour combinations but this may include some sketch colours that I get from Artifolks
The bluer tones BG05, BG01, BG000 (the end one is a sketch marker)
The greener tones BG15, BG13 and BG23

Here is the colour wheel, which will assist you in choosing your first purchases of copics. Try to buy three in a run either around the wheel or from the outer edge to the inner edge. Remember the colour of the lids will not help you in selecting your pens.

and here is the colour chart - remember this needs to be printed out onto the same paper you are using for your images on your cards, otherwise the colours will change. This will help you to avoid purchasing doubles too.
The next class is in 4 weeks time - I will confirm the date as the new card for the next class arrives in the shop.  When I submit the card into Lynn at the shop, a colour list is also provided, to allow you to purchase your pens in advance.

As always if you have any questions on your copics please feel free to contact me here, but do hop over and join me on my own blog here

Do hope that all makes sense as I am unfortunately a little worse for it this morning :)

Happy colouring
