Triple Easel Secret Crafter Copic Card Class

Good afternoon ladies

What a lovely relaxed class we had today, and those fans were sheer heaven weren't they and doesn't Lynn make the best cuppa's ever and perfectly timed too.

Hope you all enjoyed your planned BBQ's, mine was delicious and finished off nicely with a nice glass of rose.

Today's techniques learnt
facial blending
tip to tip blending
 different types of copics
 refilling copics
replacing copic nibs

This is the Triple Easel Card that we made
The images available at Grimsby Crafts are Secret Crafter Manga Images - the beauty of these is that the face is rather large and allows the extra room to create the facial features using the copics.  The papers are also available in the shop, the pearls are but have been coloured with the copics.

Here is a close up of each image
Colours used today were
G99, G94, G82 (greens) Little boy
W1, W3, W7 (warm greys) hair on both images
E53, E51, E50 (creams) on both images
RV23, RV21, RV13 (red violets) the pinks on the little girl
R27, R22 (reds) for the little boys red apple.
E11, E00, E000 (earth tones) skin for both
BG000 (blue green) for the eyes
C1 (cool grey) for the outline on both images and the little girls inner mouth.
White gel pergamano pen from Grimsby Crafts.

The distress ink used around the image is Tim Holtz Crushed Olive
The swirl was a Prima clear stamp from my stash.
The centre Sentiment is from Grimsby Crafts
The inner sentiment is by My Sentiments Exactly and from my stash.

The next class is on 24th July 1pm - 3.30pm

Techniques being taught
Feather Blending
Hair Colouring
Colouring Pleats and Folds

The card will be on show next week but we will be using one of the Whiff Of Joy images

Thursday Scrapbook Night

Thursdays night class was a busy old one - distressing, embossing, inking, and punching!!!  Lots of work involved but as usual our ladies did a fine job creating their layouts based on the one I made below.

Here they all are being busy and creative!

Chris and Sue finished their pages with quite a few minutes to spare

and so did Lisa and... oh its Sharon hiding!!

Heres Katrina shaking her little bag of completed flowers lol!!!!

and here is Jackie with her completed page (inside the shocking pink box at the corner of the table was a fantastic album that Jackie had made - filled with oodles and oodles of  design and detail - she sooo needs to get a blog to showcase these little beauties off)!!!

Well thats it for this week - hope to see you all next week

Good afternoon to you all

I do not have any photographs of the class today, and apologise to the ladies that attended today's class and had to put up with my coughing and sneezing................hopefully by the time I see you all next, I will be fully recovered from this horrid cold.

I was thrilled today to be able to share with you some of my recent new knowledge obtained from receiving my Copic Certified Designer Certificate

and cannot wait in the future classes to show you more

Today the techniques learnt were
one colour blending
two colour blending
three colour blending

along with how to select colours from the copic colour chart, here is the image which will help you to select those all important blending colours

if you right click on the image and save to your desktop, you will then be able to print it out onto an A4 sheet.

Here is the card we worked on in today's class
all of the items on the card are available in the store

and to help you with your shading, here is a close up of the image

The next class will be on the 26th June at 1pm

Behind and infront....

Here's last Thursdays class......finally. A subtle little wall hanging made mainly with embossing folders and die cuts.

I am amazed how cutting dies have improved, they are so delicate now. Only a few years ago I would never ever use a die cutting machine, now I just can't get enough of them! It'll be peel off's next (obviously that IS a joke).

I'm storming ahead showing what we will be making not this Thursday but next Thursday, a little tag book. Obviously the clolours etc will be your own choice.

We will also be making the 'pom pom flower'.....

using border punches....

Marianne and Sizzix dies....

combined with embossing folders, distress inks and stickles.

I am off this Thursday due to moving house (thanks so much Lynn) but I will be back with this class the week after, maybe see you there?

Not quite a full class tonight but still a very busy night cutting out 2.5 inch squares and making our own flowers!!  Good thing the chocolate muffins helped us keep up our energy!!!

Here is the scrapbook page - still thinking of a title for this one LOL - this is little Heidi realising that what she is holding is a eeerrghhhh SNAIL!!!

All the pages are from the Sweet Fairy Collection by Prima (who else for fab paper like this)!!!

And here are the ladies all busy, BUSY!!

Sharon, Lisa, Kerry and Lynn all busy concentrating and quiet (the quiet didn't last long)!

Wendy and Chris busy with their flowers whilst the lovely Sandra took time out to pose for me LOL

Oh and this one......

This is Sandra still crafting away long LONG time after everyone had gone home!!!  I don't know... these perfectionists!!!

And finally Sandra and her finished page - well worth the wait even though it was nearing midnight!!! ONLY JOKING - not even 9:30pm!!
