Altered beermats workshop

I love getting messy, so the altered beer mats class was just up my street.....

We messed about with gesso, texture paste, distress inks etc and created our own vintage style wall hangings.

Everyone seemed to enjoy choosing their own colours


and it was great to see the finished results.

Quite shabby and vintage in style.

With colours individually chosen.

Well the next workshop for me to teach is the full day of (dare I say) Christmas cards. Really looking forward to it!

Mini Photo Album Workshop

Sunday August 14th was spent here at Grimsby Crafts making this photo album out of some of the most gorgeous papers by My Mind's Eye.

And here we all are

Chris, Sandra, Debbie and Jo

There was an awful lot of measuring, cutting, inking, and punching involved but we all went home with the album either nearly ready / ready for adding photos to. My first workshop and would I do it again???


YOU BET!!!! lol . Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Docrafts Demonstration day

Joanne Austin in action at our demonstration day on Sunday 28th August, creating cards and papercrafts with the Woodlands, Oriental, Born to shop, Noel and Forever Friends selections.

Our next demonstration day will be on Sunday 4th September where Lindsay Mason will be demonstrating her own range of stamps and Personal Impressions ranges. This will include Christmas cards, stamping techniques, alcohol inks, distress inks, and distress stains.

Altered Mini Book

Sue made this gorgeous mini book for Thursday's Altered art class, using Crafty Individuals stamps, embossing folders and wax metallic rub ons, joined together with black satin ribbon.

Wednesday Evening Class Go Oriental...

This is the first appearance of the Wednesday evening's class on the "blog" ha ha!  We used the Wild Rose Mia Oriental stamp and Kate Knight's paper range.  Everyone produced a unique version of the card.
